Merge was approached to design a unique carwash building on a busy highway intersection to capture the eye of passing local motorists, along with tourists making the trip to the Southwest. The owners wanted to create a carwash with “wow factor” and a design that would get people talking.

Merge created a striking form over the 35 metre building length with an innovative curved roof design. The use of LED rope lighting following the roof form further highlights the eye-catching design in the evening.

Merge played on the typical tyre skid mark, with the pattern used throughout the facade of the building and integrated into the carwash bays wall tiling to add a striking graphic element and punctuate the building’s form.
